  • 2.5 cups quick-cooking rolled oats
  • ¾ cup unsalted raw sunflower seeds
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup nonfat dry milk powder
  • ¾ cup chopped pitted dates
  • ¾ cup raisins
  • ¾ cup chopped walnuts
  • ¾ cup chopped dried apricots
  • ¾ cup toasted wheat germ
  • ½ cup pure maple syrup
  • ¼ cup whole-wheat pastry flour


Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

In a large bowl, combine 2.5 cups of rolled oats, ¾ cup of sunflower seeds, ½ teaspoon of cinnamon, ½ cup of dry milk powder, ¾ cup of chopped dates, ¾ cup of raisins, ¾ cup of chopped walnuts, ¾ cup of dried apricots, and ¾ cup of toasted wheat germ.

Separately, whisk together ½ cup of maple syrup and ¼ cup of whole-wheat pastry flour.

Pour this mixture over the dry ingredients and stir until evenly combined.

Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish and bake for 20 minutes.

Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely before cutting into 9 bars.

Wrap each bar individually with plastic wrap for storage.
