How To Use Argan Oil for Face

There are a few important nutrients that are required for your facial skin to make it look more radiant and youthful. Squalene, Linoleic, and Fatty acids are major nutrients among many.

We are lucky to find them naturally in argan oils which holds all of these aforesaid nutrients along with lots of antioxidants and many more powerful rich compounds.

Argan oil is extracted from the kernels of the argan fruit grown on the argan tree found mostly in southwest Morocco.

How is Argan Oil Good for Facial Skin Rejuvenation?

Because of the highly rich properties of nutrients, argan oil is considered as a revolutionary boon for skincare. It works effectively to hydrate and nourish the inflamed area of your skin.

Apart from all this, it is very efficient in managing oil production for oily skin types by balancing the sebum level and reducing the size of the pores which subsequently leads to lesser oil secretion.

The argan oil also helps in controlling acne on your face along with skin breakouts and other severe skin conditions. This oil is neither too sticky nor too light but tends to get absorbed into your skin to moisturize and nourish it deeply to give you a brighter and glowing skin with a smooth texture.

Most of the argan oils are made up of oleic and linoleic acids whereas very few of them contain vitamin E, sterols, carotenoids and polyphenols which are known to be a great vitalizer for your skin.

How to Use Argan Oil for Face?

Apply in the Night

To begin with, you should ideally apply argan oil in the night on your face. As most of the women may require less frequency of argan oil usage on face hence overnight application is better. You may gradually increase the frequency of applying the oil to twice a day, depending on your results and beauty goals.

Clean Your Face Before Applying the Oil

Before applying the argan oil, you should clean your face properly to get rid of all the impurities and debris which are accumulated on your skin and pores during the day. The effectiveness of argan oil is lost if it is applied to the skin which is not cleaned properly all day long. Also, it is not preferable to apply the argan oil to the face which consists of makeup as it will not absorb deeper into the facial skin to give the desired result and nourishment.

Do Not Forget to Exfoliate Your Face

After cleaning your face, you need to exfoliate it. Get hold of cotton fabric, immerse the same in a small quantity of argan oil. Now try to massage the dipped fabric into your skin gently for a while, remember you should do it gently and not rinse vigorously as it will create rashes on your skin. Once the massage is done, cleanse your skin with fresh water and pat the face softly with a clean cloth or towel. The exfoliation of your facial skin can be done once or twice per week depending on your skin requirement and type.

Massage the Oil onto the Face

Argan oil is a powerful product, hence a little bit of it will suffice for your facial massage treatment. Just pour 2-3 drops of argan oil on your palms and rub it together. By doing this you are warming up the oil so that it can absorb effectively into your face.

Now gently press your hands on the face and massage the oil on your face in a circular motion. Let the oil dry automatically by getting absorbed into your skin by making it smooth and hydrated. The quantity of oil and duration for massage varies depending on the skin type as for extremely dry skin you need more oil and massage time.

Make Your Makeup Last Longer

Argan oil can also be applied as a primer as, unlike other typical primers. This oil is absorbed by the skin quickly to provide excellent hydration and nourishment for a longer duration. This helps your makeup last longer than the usual time.

Moisturize Your Chapped Lips

Argan oil is very effective in treating your chapped lips when used with brown sugar. Exfoliate your lips with the mixture of argan oil and brown sugar or you can even dab it over your lips and leave it for some time so that it moisturizes and soften them.

Remove Scars and Dark Circles with a Dewy Glow

It is quite amazing to note that a few drops of argan oil, when mixed with your skin toner, can magically hydrate your skin with a radiant glow. Similarly, mixing a few drops of argan oil in your face lotion before applying it can enhance moisturizing levels along with the reduction of many skin issues, such as dark circles, scars, and acne.

Help to Get a Perfect Foundation on Your Face

By combining argan oil with your favorite foundation, you can easily prevent the foundation from turning cakey and leaving uneven white residue over the face. To get better results, mix both the items in a clean vessel and blend it properly using makeup brush or sponge. Now apply the mix on your face as you would have done with your foundation, you will see the magic.

Wrap up

The aforesaid tips will surely be helpful for you while using the argan oil for your face. The effectiveness of the oil entirely depends on the skin type and method you prefer to use.

Always keep in mind that argan oil is a strong oil and a very little quantity of the same will do the magic on your skin but do not use it in excess as it might damage your skin.

The overnight application of this oil is recommended for attaining better results. In the morning you can wake up to see the magic of argan oil in the form of healthy, hydrated and glowing skin.
