10 servings

  • 2 pounds salmon fillets, skin removed
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped red bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped yellow onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 10 hamburger buns
  • lettuce
  • tomato
  • cheese (optional)

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Rinse the salmon fillets under cold water, pat them dry with paper towels, and cut them into 10 equal pieces.

In a medium bowl, mix together panko breadcrumbs, chopped red bell pepper, chopped yellow onion, garlic, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper.

Divide this mixture evenly among the salmon pieces, pressing gently onto both sides of each piece. Place the coated salmon pieces onto a plate or tray.

Brush both sides of the salmon pieces with olive oil.

Grill the salmon for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they’re cooked through and flake easily with a fork. While the salmon is grilling, toast the hamburger buns on the grill.

Assemble the burgers by placing a cooked salmon piece onto each bun, followed by lettuce, tomato, and cheese if using.

Serve immediately and share with friends and family!

Make sure to handle the salmon fillets gently to avoid breaking them apart.

For the best flavors, use high-quality ingredients, like freshly squeezed lemon juice and fresh garlic.

If you’re having trouble getting the breadcrumbs to stick to the salmon, try dipping the salmon pieces in a little water first.

Don’t overcrowd your grill, cook the salmon in batches if necessary, to ensure they have enough room to cook evenly.

To prevent the salmon from sticking to the grill, brush the grates with olive oil before grilling.

For a crispy crust on your buns, grill them for about 30 seconds to 1 minute per side.
