What is an Air Fryer?

An air fryer is an attractive kitchen appliance that allows you to cook your chicken wings, fries and onion rings without all the harmful fats.

When the air reaches a certain temperature in the fryer, the effect is similar to what happens to food when cooked in a vat of oil. The morsels are still crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, but much lighter and healthier.

1. Cauliflower Buffalo Bites

Ingredients

  • Bite-sized florets from a large cauliflower
  • 1 cup of breadcrumbs
  • One teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup of butter
  • ¼ cup of Buffalo Sauce or Frank's Red Hot Sauce

Directions

  • In a small saucepan, melt butter and buffalo sauce and mix
  • Pour the sauce into a small bowl
  • Take the salt and breadcrumbs and put those into a small bowl
  • Hold the florets by the stem and dip them into the melted butter mixture, letting any excess drip back into the bowl
  • Take the dripping floret and roll it in the breadcrumb mixture making sure to get it all coated and then put in the air fryer basket
  • Cook for 14-17 – no pre-heating is necessary shaking every 3-4 minutes
  • When the florets turn a golden brown, then they are ready to be taken out

Ingredients

  • 10 Corn Tortillas
  • One tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt

Directions

  • Preheat fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Use a sharp knife to cut tortillas into triangles
  • Brush olive oil lightly over tortillas
  • Put half of the triangles into the fryer basket and bake for 3 minutes
  • Repeat this with the rest
  • Sprinkle salt over all of them and enjoy

  • 2 ½ tablespoons salt
  • ½ pound elbow pasta
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Fontinella
  • ½ cup grated Gruyere
  • ½ cup grated strong cheddar
  • ½ teaspoon ‘Emeril's Original Essence' spice
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ¼ cup bread crumbs
  • ¼ cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
  • One tablespoon melted unsalted butter

Directions

  • Boil, the elbow noodles in a large saucepan adding the salt in before the water, reaches a boil
  • Once the pasta reaches the desired consistency, drain the pan and put the noodles in a large bowl
  • In this bowl, pour in the milk, cream, all of the cheeses, the Emeril's Essence and the salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Stir all of the ingredients until combined.
  • Put the pasta mixture into a casserole dish
  • In a small bowl, combine the bread crumbs, Parmesan and melted butter and stir ingredients together
  • Sprinkle the bread crumb mixture over the noodles and put the dish in the air fryer basket.
  • Cook at 350 degrees for 30 minutes
  • Let the Mac and Cheese cool for 20 minutes before serving.
  • Cut into wedges and enjoy

4. Fried Pickles with Spicy Dipping Sauce

Ingredients

  • 16-ounce jar of sour dill pickle wedges
  • One egg
  • ¼ cup of whole milk
  • ½ cup of flour
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • ½ teaspoon of garlic powder
  • ¼ cup Ranch Dressing
  • One teaspoon of Frank's Red Hot Sauce
  • ½ teaspoon sweet paprika
  • One teaspoon of vegetable oil

Directions

  • Preheat fryer to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Blot pickles with a paper towel until dry
  • Put eggs and milk in a medium bowl and whisk
  • Combine flour, salt, garlic powder, and paprika into a small and mix
  • Dip the pickles into the dry mix, then egg mixture, and then the dry again
  • Take half of the pickles and put them in the fryer basket, cook for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown
  • Do the same with the other half
  • Combine Ranch Dressing and Frank's hot sauce in a bowl and use for dip

Directions

  • Mix everything together in a large bowl
  • Scoop out small balls of the mixture in the palm of your hand.

6. Kale Chips

Ingredients

  • One head of Kale
  • One tablespoon of Extra Virgin olive oil
  • One teaspoon of low-sodium soy sauce

Directions

  • Remove the middle portion of the kale.
  • Tear it up into bite sized pieces
  • Wash the pieces in the sink and then dry with a paper towel
  • Put the pieces in a large bowl with the olive oil and soy sauce and toss the mixture
  • Put the pieces in the basket of fryer and cook for 3 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Let the kale chips sit for five minutes and cool

  • 5 Russet baking potatoes
  • Eight slices of white bread with crusts cut off
  • Two green chili peppers, finely chopped

  • One/ teaspoon turmeric
  • ½ teaspoon mustard seeds
  • Two sprigs of curry leaf
  • Two tablespoons of vegetable oil

Directions

  • Boil the potatoes in a large pot until they are tender to stick with a fork
  • Peel the potatoes under cold water and then mash them
  • In a saucepan, heat oil, mustard seed, and onion until see through and then add turmeric and curry
  • Put the mashed potatoes into the mixture, add the salt and mix
  • Let it cool for 10 minutes
  • Roll the dough into eight balls of equal size and place them on a plate
  • Wet the bread in your hand and squeeze any excess water from the dough
  • Put the potato mixture in the bread and press the edges, sealing them completely
  • Brush vegetable oil on the dough balls
  • Preheat fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 minutes and then put the balls into the basket
  • Cook for 13-15 minutes or until they reach a crispy golden brown

  • 20 mini frankfurters
  • 3 1/2 ounces of pastry dough
  • One tablespoon of Dijon mustard

Directions

  • Cut pastry into small squares measuring 1.5 cm
  • Spread a thin layer of Dijon on the pastry
